How does ProSlimelt work?
The low frequency Ultra Sound technology of ProSlimelt allows a predetermined amount of energy to be focused onto the subcutaneous adipose tissue. As the ultra sonic waves converge towards the targeted area, they cumulate at a certain point and produce the so-called cavitation effect leading to the mechanical breaking of the cellular membranes and the release in the inter cellular fluid of the stored Triglycerides which are rapidly and naturally metabolized.
What are the advantages for patients of ProSlimelt?
Measurable results after one session. No down time. Comfortable and painless treatment. Very few sessions needed!
What are indications of ProSlimelt?
Typical treated areas are those with localized fat and extra volume:
• Localized fat on the arms
• Abdomen
• Waist line
• Inner thighs
• Saddlebags
• Inner knees
Why ProSlimelt is convenient?
Because of unique Twin Transducers Technology: Two probes that work at the same time with also different parameters to treat two patients or to two different areas on one patient at the same time also with different programs.
How many treatments will I need?
The average person needs six treatments. How many treatments you will need will depend on your number of growth cycles and how hair-free you wish to be. Because a hair follicle can only be destroyed in an “active growth” cycle, your treatments will be timed to destroy the most hair follicles with each visit. Usually treatments will be 4 to 8 weeks apart.
Can I pluck or wax my hair between treatments?
No. Plucking or waxing pulls the hair out of the follicle and may disrupt the growth cycle. You may trim or shave as much as you wish between treatments. Shaving does not change the type of hair that you grow.
What are the possible side effects from treatment?
While side effects are rare, some clients may have a swollen appearance to the follicle for a few minutes after treatment. This usually resolves before the client leaves the treatment room. Because the laser generates heat within the follicle, there is risk of a small water blister. This is not common occurrence. Rarely, this may result in a change in skin pigmentation at that site of scarring.
What is the cost of laser hair removal?
Cost will depend on area covered, not how thick the hair growth is. Package prices can be arranged if more than one body area is to be treated. An accurate assessment of cost will be determined at your free consultation.
What is laser collagen remodeling?
Yag laser is a 1064 nanometer laser that penetrates to the collagen layer in your skin to gently heat and stimulate new growth of collagen resulting in tightening of the skin. This very safe and non-invasive procedure is often called the “lunch hour face lift.” Collagen is the “backbone” or structure to our skin, much like the framework to a house. As we age, our collagen bands relax, causing the skin to sag and develop lines and wrinkles. Just like going to a gym and lifting weights stresses muscles, resulting in new muscle growth and toning, this deep heating of the collagen also results in new collagen growth. This new growth can result in up to a 40% tightening of skin.
How will my skin look after treatment?
Yag laser is safe on all skin types. In most people there is no sign that a treatment has been done. A computerized scanner will safely and evenly provide a pattern of pulses over the entire face. The neck may also be scanned. This treatment can be completed in as little as 45 minutes.
How many treatments will I need?
Just like you cannot lift weights one time to tone muscles, you must begin with a series of treatments. A minimum of three treatments, four to six weeks apart, are recommended. Follow up treatments will be needed to maintain a continued collagen growth.
How long will it take to see results?
Because we are stimulating your own collagen to grow, results will not be seen overnight. This is a gradual change which will be seen over weeks to months. Your age and general health will affect your individual results
How does laser spider vein removal work?
Yag laser has a wavelength of 1064 nanometers. This wavelength targets hemoglobin or blood. Each vessel is traced with pulses of laser light. As the energy is absorbed by the blood in the vessel, heat is created and the vessel wall is destroyed. The vein will die and the body will clear away the tissue as it would clear away a bruise. Yag laser requires no anesthetics and no downtime, with very low risk of side effects. People with all skin colors can be safely treated.
How long will it take for my veins to disappear?
Each client’s body will have its own time schedule for how quickly veins will be reabsorbed. This could range from days to possibly months.
How many treatments will I need?
Clients often differ in what they want out of their treatments. Some want their veins completely gone; others may want them to just look better. While many clients may need only one treatment to accomplish their goal, others should expect 2 or more treatments for clearing. Treatments are usually 6 weeks to 6 months apart.
Will my treated veins come back?
Once a vein is completed dead and reabsorbed, it should be gone. However, a person who has already made spider veins may have the tendency to make more in the future. Any newly developing vein can be quickly treated.
What is the Lite Laser Facial?
The Lite Laser Facial is a new minimally invasive procedure that utilizes advanced laser technology to reduce wrinkles, clear pigmented and elevated skin lesions, and evidence of sun damage.
Does the procedure hurt?
Usually not. Sometimes patients may experience minor discomfort similar to a stinging effect. However, most patients experience no pain.
Are general anesthesia or needles required?
Absolutely not. Prior to the laser treatment you will have a cream applied to your face which will take about 60 minutes to numb the skin so you will feel only minimal discomfort. You may take some medication orally to relax further.
How long does the procedure take?
Application of the laser energy takes approximately 30 minutes.
What will I look like after the procedure?
Your face will have redness and swelling as if you had experienced a sunburn. This generally disappears within 48 hours. Your skin will peel in 3-4 days leaving you with silk soft skin complete healing is achieved in approximately 7-10 days.
Will I miss any work?
No, that is the benefit of the lite laser facial. You can receive true laser skin rejuvenation with only a few days of downtime.
Will I be able to wear makeup?
You will be able to wear makeup approximately 3-5 days after the laser procedure.
Are there any side effects or complications of the laser facial?
You should experience no complications from this procedure. In rare cases, transient skin discoloration may occur which is easily treated with topical creams. This is in contrast to the traditional CO2 laser which is more invasive and requires a 4-8 week recovery and may lead to prolonged redness and skin discoloration. If you are prone to cold sores, you will be prescribed medication to prevent an outbreak.
Can the procedure be repeated?
Yes, the lie laser facial can be repeated in 3-6 months for a touch up or as needed to maintain smooth, clean skin.
Are there any other precautions I should take after the procedure?
You will be given a post treatment lubricant to keep the skin moist and you must use a sun block. You may resume your routine skin care program in 2-3 weeks. Our physician-directed skin care program will maximize and prolong your results.
What should I expect from the treatment?
At lower levels of treatment there will be some mild redness and flaking of the skin. At higher levels, the outer layer of the skin browns and is shed 3 to 5 days after treatment. Once this occurs, the redness of the regenerated skin will last for 2-3 days. Shedding may take a little longer at the edges of the treated area. Localized redness may also linger slightly in some patients. On darker skin, the localized redness may appear as a darker spot that lightens over time.
How soon will I see a difference and how long will it last?
You will see results soon after your treatment. However, one of the most striking and unique advantages of Portrait is that it stimulates a natural process of regeneration, producing results that progressively improve over time. Clinical studies show that this improvement progression continues for at least one year after treatment. Patients are amazed when they compare their appearances before treatment and twelve months later.
Is the Portrait procedure safe?
Portrait has demonstrated an excellent safety profile in clinical studies. It has not shown protracted periods of downtime, scarring, hypopigmentation, or prolonged hyperpigmentation associated with other light or ablative laser treatments. It is also far easier to use and control than messy chemical peeling agents.
Can Portrait be used with other treatments?
Your physician will advise you on the best way to combine treatments such as Botox or dermal fillers. If you have had other procedures within the last 12 months you should discuss the timing of your Portrait procedure with your physician.
How much does the procedure cost?
The cost for Portrait will depend upon the treatment regimen you and your doctor choose. In general, the cost is comparable to other similar procedures. However, with superior, longer-lasting results at every treatment level and fewer treatments required to get the results you want, Portait is a very economical choice.
What makes Portrait different from other available treatments?
The ground-breaking science behind Portrait makes it different from other treatments in several important ways. Portrait is the first and only treatment clinically proven to regenerate skin. Its unique energy-transferring mechanism initiates regeneration deep below the skin’s architecture. This creates dramatic results that improve over time as the new architecture progressively replaces the old.
What kind of improvements can I expect to see?
You will see improvements in skin texture, tone and reduction of fine wrinkles at lower levels of treatment and reduction of deep wrinkles at higher levels of treatment. New healthier collagen growth will improve contours and enhance your overall appearance.
What does the procedure feel like and how long does it take?
You may experience a localized sensation of heat during the brief procedure. A topical anesthetic is generally applied before the procedure, although your physician may recommend other approaches depending upon your specific needs. A full face treatment usually takes less than 15 minutes.
How many treatments do I need?
Your physician will recommend an appropriate treatment regimen for you. Typically this will vary from 1 to 4 treatments depending upon the desired outcome, your skin condition and the level of improvement you are seeking relative to downtime. It usually takes form one or two days to just over a week for your skin to appear normal with or without makeup.
How does it work?
The innovative Portrait technology transfers nitrogen plasma energy to the architecture of the skin using a non-contact technique producing controlled, uniform regeneration of your skin.

You’ve tried dieting. You’ve tried exercise. But parts of your body gave simply refuse to tone up.
Now you can change all that. LaserBodySculpting is a revolutionary, minimally invasive treatment that does something no fitness routine in the world can: permanently destroy fat cells. Since your body has only a finite amount of these cells, no new fat cells come back. You can finally have that body you’ve always wanted.
LaserBodySculpting can eliminate areas of unwanted fat and tone your entire body. Below are answers to some of the most common patient questions.
How does LaserBodyScultping work?
This laser-assisted lipolysis procedure is performed using a one millimeter cannula (or tube) inserted into the skin. A laser fiber inside of the cannula delivers energy directly to fat cells, causing them to rupture and drain away as liquid. Simultaneously, tissue around the area coagulates, resulting in overall tighter skin tissue.
What areas of the body can be treated?
LaserBodySculpting is ideal for the neck, jawline, arms, "bra fat," abdomen, "love handles," "saddle bags," inner and outer thighs and knees.
Am I a candidate?
LaserBodySculpting is meant for areas that do not respond to diet or exercise. The perfect candidate is in good health and of normal body weight.
How does LaserBodySculpting compare to conventional liposuction?
Conventional liposuction is meant to remove greater amounts of fat. However, since this can leave behind unsightly pockets of skin, laser assisted lipolysis is often a perfect complement.
Is there a recovery period?
LaserBodySculpting is a minimally invasive procedure which usually requires only local anesthesia. Some light trauma can occur, but you'll be able to return to work in a couple of days and resume exercise after 2 weeks.
How many treatments are required?
Typically only one treatment is required. Results can be seen within a week, with continued improvement over three to six months. A compression garment may be worn for a short period after treatment, depending on the body area treated.

Can Radiesse work for me?
Talk to your doctor about your medical history when deciding on treatment options. You should not use Radiesse if you are allergic to any ingredient of Radiesse. You should also not choose Radiesse if you desire only short-term results.
How does Radiesse work?
Once injected, Radiesse immediately adds fullness to your face giving you a visible result at the first treatment session. Radiesse contains microspheres made of a natural material called Calcium Hydroxylapatite in a water based gel carrier.
How long do treatment effects last?
Although treatment effects will differ for each person, in a clinical study, Radiesse lasted up to six months.
Do injections of Radiesse hurt?
As with any injection, injections with Radiesse may hurt. Radiesse is injected in small amounts using a very fine needle. Your doctor may apply a topical or local anesthetic.
Are skin tests needed before treatment with Radiesse?
No skin testing is required prior to use.
Should I tell my healthcare provider what medications I am taking?
Yes. You should tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, even over the counter medicines or treatments. If you are taking blood thinners or medications that may interfere with clotting of the blood, such as aspirin, you might be more likely to have bruising or bleeding at the injection site. There have been no studies of possible interactions between Radiesse and drugs or other substances or implants.
What can I expect to happen at a treatment session?
Your doctor will answer all of your questions and prepare you for the treatment.
The area where the injections will be given will be cleaned with an antiseptic.
You and your doctor will determine if an anesthetic is needed.
Radiesse will be injected in small amounts into the skin using a very fine needle.
An ice pack may be applied to the treatment area before or after treatment to help reduce swelling.

What is laser tattoo removal and what does it accomplish?
Nd:YAG laser is the newest laser for tattoo removal. This laser can significantly lighten or remove many tattoo inks, and is particularly advanced in the removal of blue, black and red inks. Just as natural sunlight is made up of light wavelengths of many colors, a laser is a device that is designed to produce one or more specific wavelengths of light. A laser tattoo, such as the Nd:YAG, works to remove tattoo ink using specific wavelengths of light. These wavelengths are either absorbed, reflected or pass through the skin and break up the particles of tattoo pigment. The rapid absorption of light energy causes the tattoo ink to destruct, where it is then removed by the body's natural filtering systems. The laser helps the body by breaking up the pigment into small particles that can be removed more rapidly.
How is the treatment performed?
After the skin is prepared, your doctor passes the laser light over your tattoo. Most patients equate the pain of removal with the pain of getting the tattoo. As treatments progress, the pain decreases because there is less pigment to absorb the laser energy. Each procedure takes between 5 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the tattoo.
How many treatment sessions will it take to remove the tattoo?
The number of treatments for clearance of a tattoo depends on the amount and type of ink used and the depth of the ink in the skin. Professional tattoos may require up to 6 to 12 treatments, while amateur tattoos require 3 to 6 treatments. In some cases, complete clearance can not be achieved. It is impossible for any doctor to determine exactly how many treatments it will take for complete removal because the variables are usually unknown, such as the type of ink and how much was used. During your initial consultation, your doctor will be able to estimate how many treatments may be necessary for the clearance of your tattoo.
Do all colors of ink disappear equally as well?
Successful laser removal of tattoos is color related. Dark blue, black and red inks tend to respond best to laser treatment, while green and yellow are much more difficult to remove and may require additional treatments. Oranges and purples respond moderately well.
Greater than 95% clearance of the tattoo may be accomplished. It is important to know that over 100 tattoo inks are in use worldwide today, none of which are regulated by the FDA. Without knowing what pigments were used and exactly how deep they were injected, makes it impossible to predict the degree of removal on any given tattoo.
What type of post-treatment care is necessary?
Occasionally there will be pinpoint bleeding associated with the treatment. After your treatment, the area will be covered with an antibiotic ointment and a dressing applied which you will periodically change. After it has stopped oozing, about 5 to 7 days, you may remove the dressing and moisturize the area daily as well as use sunscreen. You will be ready for your next treatment in 6 to 8 weeks.
After you have healed, you will need to continually protect your new skin. In the early weeks and months following the treatment, your skin will be very susceptible to sun damage. If at all possible, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun. If you must be in the sun for a short time, use sunscreen.

How does VelaShape™ work?
VelaShape™ uses combined energies known as el•s™ to precisely target and heat fatty tissues within the treatment area. In addition, the vacuum and tissue manipulation evens out the skin to reveal a smoother, tighter figure.
How quickly will I notice a change?
Gradual improvement of the treated area can be seen following the first treatment - with the skin surface of the treated area feeling smoother, firmer and tighter. Results in Circumference and Cellulite Reduction will be most apparent 6-8 weeks following the final treatment session.
How many inches can I reduce from my circumference?
In clinical studies, patients report an average reduction of about 1 inch post treatment series. In clinical trials, the range of Circumferential Reduction was between 0.5-3 inches.
Is treatment safe?
FDA found and cleared the device as safe and effective for all skin types and colors. There are no reported short or long-term health effects.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most patients find VelaShape™ treatments comfortable - like a warm deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate your sensitivity and comfort level. It is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear red than usual for several hours.
How do I improve and maintain results?
Following your complete treatment regimen, it is recommended to get maintenance treatments periodically. Like all non-surgical or surgical techniques, results will last longer if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
What is ArteFill?
ArteFill is the first and only FDA-approved non-resorbable dermal filler for the correction of facial wrinkles known as smile lines that provides enduring wrinkle correction.
How is ArteFill different from temporary dermal fillers?
Temporary dermal fillers are made of different kinds of natural or synthetic materials that are completely absorbed by the body over time and as a result wrinkle correction usually only lasts a few months.
Why is ArteFill different from temporary dermal fillers?
ArteFill is a wrinkle filler that stands the test of time. The unique microspheres in ArteFill are not absorbed by the body and provide a permanent support structure your skin needs for long-lasting wrinkle correction.
Why was ArteFill developed?
Many physicians and patients desire a longer lasting wrinkle filler due to the time and cost associated with temporary fillers. ArteFill represents a novel solution for those patients who do not want to return for repeat treatments with temporary dermal fillers.
What is in ArteFill?
20% of the material in ArteFill consists of tiny round, smooth microspheres that are about half the width of a human hair. The remaining 80% of the material is purified collagen that serves as a carrier gel for the microspheres. This gel is absorbed by the body while the microspheres provide the support your skin needs for long-lasting wrinkle correction. ArteFill also contains an anesthetic to make the treatment more comfortable.
What exactly are the microspheres in ArteFill?
These tiny microspheres are made of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), one of the most commonly used artificial implant materials in medicine. PMMA is widely used for intraocular lenses and as a bone substitute due to its biocompatibility and proven safety in over 60 years of clinical use. With ArteFill, the microspheres remain intact at the injection site and provide a permanent structure to support the wrinkle and help prevent further wrinkling.
What happens after the microspheres are injected?
ArteFill is injected deep in the skin underneath the wrinkle and just above the skin's fat layer. Several scientific journals have described the expected and appropriate response to the PMMA microspheres. These findings concluded that the bovine collagen surrounds the microspheres and holds them in place.
How will my face feel following treatment?
With proper placement, the material connot be felt after treatment. You will see the results immediately and be able to return to your normal daily activities shortly after your treatment.
How will I look as my skin ages after treatment with ArteFill?
Patients from the original clinical trial that are now more than 5 years out from their initial treatment reflect a natural appearance in both their overall facial appearance as well as in the area treated with ArteFill. These patients were surveyed and had a very high satisfaction rate related to their wrinkle correction and experience with ArteFill.
Why is a skin test required before treatment with ArteFill?
The ArteFill skin test is a step to ensure that you are not allergic to the bovine collagen gel.
What process did ArteFill go through before it was FDA approved?
Artes Medical conducted clinical studies in the United States to demonstrate the safety and effectiveness of our microsphere dermal filler technology. The data from our clinical trials were subject to a full and open review in a public hearing by an FDA review panel. During the review, we worked with the FDA to further enhance our manufacturing process and testing to ensure that ArteFill meets the highest quality standards. ArteFill was approved by the FDA in October 2006 after eight years of clinical study and review.
How does ArteFill differ from Artecoil®?
ArteFill represents the next generation of this PMMA-based dermal filler technology. Its predecessor, Artcoil, has been available outside of the United States since 1994. However, only the enhanced ArteFill formulation has been FDA approved as it meets or exceeds the rigorous safety, quality, and manufacturing standards required by the FDA.
Does the FDA review the safety of wrinkle fillers after they are on the market?
Yes, the FDA reviews the post-marketing experience of all dermal fillers. All adverse events not included in the product labeling must be reported to the FDA. Since the launch of ArteFill in February 2007, there have been no significant differences in the product's safety profile as compared to the events reported during the clinical study.
What is the long-term safety of ArteFill?
Artes Medical recently completed a follow-up study of patients from the controlled clinical study that began in 1999. These patients were followed over a 5-year period after treatment. Independent expert observers rated photographs of patient wrinkles at five years compared to before treatment and six months after treatment. The physician investigators of this follow-up study concluded that ArteFill safely maintains significant correction of smile lines for at least five years post-treatment. Results of this study have been submitted to the FDA as well as a peer-reviewed journal which is expected to publish the results soon. No other dermal filler company has submitted a five-year follow-up study of its safety and effectiveness to the FDA.
Are there any current studies being conducted on ArteFill?
Yes. Treatment has started in a new 1000-patient post-marketing study that will follow patients treated with ArteFill for a period of five years. Study participants will receive ArteFill injections into their smile lines at up to 25 leading dermatology and plastic surgery centers throughout the United States and Canada.
What is Lipotherme?
Lipotherme is a safe, effective procedure that uses a laser (similar to those used in surgical procedures) to liquefy and remove unwanted fat in targeted body zones. In addition to removing unwanted fat, Lipotherme’s thermal effect causes the skin to contract, resulting in firmer, smoother skin that further enhances your body shaping goals.
The clinical term for this type of procedure is laser-assisted lipolysis (also called laser lipolysis or laser lipo for short) which is an evolution of traditional liposuction.
How does Lipotherme work?
Your doctor will first administer a mild numbing agent to the targeted body zone. Then a small metal tube called a cannula is inserted under the skin and a tiny laser beam is fired as the doctor moves the cannula back and forth. As the laser warms the fat cells, it creates a thermal effect. Fat cells, which are highly receptive to thermal energy, are liquefied and removed permanently. As an added benefit of Lipotherme, the heat produced during the treatment creates a skin tightening effect, thus helping create a more balanced skin texture.
What body zones can be treated with Lipotherme?
Lipotherme is used to treat localized fat deposits in the following areas:
• Abdomen
• Waist (love handles)
• Back (bra line)
• Thighs (inner and outer)

What are the benefits to Lipotherme laser-assisted lipolysis?
Lipotherme is the ideal body shaping tool for reducing localized fat deposits in areas that are resistant to exercise and diet. Lipotherme allows your doctor to selectively target unwanted fat deposits and eliminate them. You’ll see an overall circumference reduction in the targeted zone, as well as skin tightening in the treated area.
Is Lipotherme the same thing as liposuction?
Lipotherme and liposuction are both highly effective procedures for the removal of unwanted fat, however, Lipotherme laser lipolysis is a minimally-invasive procedure with virtually no downtime. Traditional liposuction is considered a highly-invasive procedure and may require several days or even weeks of down time. In addition, Lipotherme is excellent for treating certain areas that traditional liposuction cannot treat such as the bra line, under the chin, above the knees and ankles. Depending on your goals and physical condition, Lipotherme can be an alternative to traditional liposuction, or your doctor may recommend a combination therapy of Lipotherme with traditional liposuction.
How soon will I see results and how long will my results last?
Typically, you’ll see dramatic improvement within 1 to 2 weeks after the treatment, but some areas such as the neck and jaw can show even faster results. Because healing and metabolism rates are different with everyone, results following a Lipotherme treatment usually require 12 to 16 weeks to become fully apparent and improvement continues to be seen for several months.
Is this a “one-time” treatment?
Primarily, Lipotherme treatments are considered “one-time” treatments. In adults, fat cells cannot grow back once they’ve been removed. If you gain weight after having Lipotherme, the excess fat will accumulate in areas where you did not have the treatment. After the final results are achieved, if your physician is not satisfied with the results, a “touch-up” treatment may be performed.
Is there a recuperation period?
Typically, you can resume normal activities the day after your treatment, however, it is recommended you wait several days before resuming strenuous activity such as exercising.
Is Lipotherme safe?
Yes! Lipotherme laser-assisted lipolysis has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in the United States.
Is there anyone who is not a good candidate for Lipotherme?
Yes. Women who are pregnant should not undergo Lipotherme. Your doctor will ask you to fill out a patient questionnaire and to list all medications you are currently taking. He or she will advise you of any potential health risks.
What Does Your Hair Transplant Device do?
The FUE-Matic machine is a revolutionary automated hair transplant machine that assists the doctor in performing a hair transplant using the FUE technique, the latest hair transplant technology to date. The FUE technique is less invasive than the traditional STRIP method used by most doctors today. With the FUE technique there is no cutting of the scalp, as there is with the STRIP method. Since there is no cutting therefore there is no suturing, no visible scarring, very little bleeding and almost immediate recovery time.
What Is An FUE Hair Transplant?
Follicular Unit Extraction is the most recently developed transplant procedure that does not involve any incisions like the STRIP method still used by most doctors today. The FUE method is the removal of individual hair follicles from the scalp, in their naturally occurring groupings of about 1-4 hairs. The follicles are then transplanted into the balding area. The Fue Transplant Procedure was introduced in 2001. It is the least invasive procedure, with the fewest complications and the end result is an excellent, natural look.
Why Is FUE Not Offered By More Doctors?
Doing a complete transplant using the FUE method without the FUE-Matic machine is very time consuming, requires many assistants and is therefore more costly than the STRIP method. Most doctors feel patients will not want to pay for this procedure so they do not promote it. Also doctors need to train in order to learn how to do this procedure and many are reluctant to do so, once they are comfortable with the STRIP method. For these reasons, most doctors do not offer a complete transplant using the FUE method. Some doctors may offer to use the FUE method on small areas such as filling in a hairline where few follicles are needed. However, most doctors, once they learn about the benefits of the FUE method, understand that it is more beneficial for the patient, since it is a much less invasive proceedure. The FUE-Matic machine brings down the cost of doing the FUE procedure because the procedure time is shortened and there is no need for the many technicians as there is when doing a manual FUE hair transplant. The reduced costs can be passed on to the patient, allowing more people to have the FUE procedure. Not all patients are suitable for the FUE procedure, but the FUE-Matic machine allows a larger propotion of patients to have the FUE procedure. One of the main reasons that the FUE procedure may not be offered is if the patient's donor area is very small and then the STRIP method would be the more suitable method. If you are one of the few patients for whom the Fue technique is not suitable the Omnigraft machine, similar to the FUE-Matic machine, has an added feature that can assist the dcotor with the STRIP method.
What Are The Advantages Of Using Your Automated Device?
There are many advantages. Our device allows more individuals to be candidates for the FUE method of transplantation. Besides the cost, doing FUE by hand limits the number of people who can have this technique. Some people have deeply embedded follicles, thicker skin, or tougher skin and it is difficult to take out the grafts without damaging them. These conditions often eliminate individuals from being good candidates for the FUE method. The FUE-Matic machine allows for a larger number of patients to take advantage of the FUE method. The FUE-Matic machine uses controlled pneumatic pressure (suction) to slide out the graft smoothly, so there is not the pulling and twisting with tweezers which puts the graft at risk for damage. Furthermore because the transplant procedure is faster with the FUE-Matic machine, the grafts can be re-implanted sooner which keeps them more robust, increasing the success of the grafting process. With the traditional method used for hair transplants, the patient must rely on the skilful hand of a technician or doctor. There is not the same consistency or quality control as with the FUE-Matic.
What About STRIP Excision (FUT)?
STRIP excision, or FUT, is the traditional transplant procedure used by most doctors today whereby a strip of skin is removed from the donor site at the back of the patient’s head. The incision is stitched together in such a way that there is a linear scar. Stitches come out in about two weeks. The strip of skin must then be dissected by technicians under microscopes into follicle units of 1-4 hairs. The follicles are transplanted into the balding area. The Omnigraft machine mentioned above can assist the doctor with the STRIP method.
How Do I Know Which One To Have, FUE Or STRIP?
With the FUE technique, only the individual hair follicle is removed. There is no dissection of skin or stitches. The small wound made when the follicle is extracted contracts as it heals, so the FUE patient ends up with tiny scars not visible to the naked eye. With the STRIP procedure there is an incision and a linear scar. Some people can only have the STRIP method if their skin type or hair type is not suitable for the FUE method. However, with the FUE-Matic machine most people qualify for the FUE method, which is less invasive, and has less possible complications. Individuals with a small donor site are not usually suitable for the FUE precedure. Your doctor will decide whether you are eligible for the FUE procedure.
Is a Hair Transplant Safe?
From a surgical standpoint, a hair transplant is very safe. It is a relatively minor surgical procedure. It is performed under local anaesthetic, and takes only a few hours. The patient is awake during the procedure, and can watch T.V. or talk with the doctor.
Is Hair Transplantation Painful?
Most people are surprised that there is virtually no pain during a hair transplant procedure because of the local anaesthetic. Some small discomfort may occur as a local anaesthetic is injected into the scalp. Once the skin is properly anaesthetized, there is no pain. After the surgery, patients will typically feel some minor discomfort. It is usually described as minimal. Medicine can be prescribed to help with any discomfort.
What Are The Possible Complications?
Hair Transplant surgery is considered to be a minor procedure. There are rarely complications and any that may occur can easily be dealt with by your doctor.
When Can I Go Back To Work?
It is often possible to go back to work within the next day or two after the transplant.
When Will My Newly Transplanted Hair Start To Grow?
Normally it takes between three to five months following surgery before the transplanted hair follicles begin to grow new hair.
What Is The Cost Of A Hair Transplantation?
Prices typically average around $5 to $7 per graft for the STRIP method and more for the FUE method. The FUE-Matic reduces the cost for the hair transplant and the results are excellent.
Why Are The Costs Of The Transplant Reduced With Your Device?
The FUE-Matic eliminates the need and cost for the many technicians necessary to help the doctor with the procedure. The machine also shortens the time needed to do the transplant, which reduces the cost as well. These savings can be passed on to the patient.
How Many Sessions Will Be Required?
It depends on how many grafts are to be transplanted. The number of sessions can be discussed during the consultation with your surgeon.
How Long Does The Procedure Last?
A typical session, without the use of the FUE-Matic machine, consisting of about 1,500 to 2,500 grafts normally involves 6-10 hours of surgery on an outpatient basis. The FUE-Matic machine shortens the procedure time by about half.
How Many Grafts/Hairs Will I Need?
The amount of grafts you will need ultimately depends on your degree of hair loss and on how dense your donor hair is at the back.
Will It Really Look Natural?
Yes, the only people who know will be those you tell.
What is the Thermage procedure?
Thermage is a safe, non-invasive cosmetic procedure that is clinically proven to help smooth, tighten and contour skin to restore a naturally younger looking appearance. The Thermage procedure uses the ThermaCool® System to help tighten existing collagen and stimulate new natural collagen growth. Immediate results are usually visible and continue to improve for up to six months. Unlike lasers, the procedure can be performed on patients of all skin color.
How does the Thermage procedure work?
The procedure works by heating collagen fibers deep in the skin and underlying tissue, while protecting the skin's surface with a cooling spray. A ThermaTip treatment tip is attached to ThermaCool System’s handpiece. The ThermaTip briefly touches the skin, delivering the non-invasive capacitive radiofrequency energy beneath the skin. This deep uniform heating action causes the structures in the skin and underlying tissue to immediately tighten. Over time, new and remodeled collagen is produced to further tighten and contour skin.
What does the procedure feel like?
When the energy is applied, you’ll feel a deep but brief heating sensation, which is an indication that collagen is reaching effective temperatures for tightening. To protect the surface of your skin, a cooling spray is delivered before, during and after each application of energy. You will be asked for feedback on the level of heat sensation experienced during the procedure to help balance your comfort with maximum results.
When will I see results?
Visible results are often immediate and improve over time. Measurable tightening and contouring improvements appear gradually over a two to six month time period following a single treatment session.
How many treatments will I need?
Unlike many laser procedures requiring four or more sessions, most Thermage patients benefit from a single treatment. The treating doctor will determine the course of treatment that is right for each patient, based on the patient’s needs and goals.
Where is the Thermage procedure performed?
Thermage procedures can tighten skin safely on most body parts, including the face, eyes, lips, tummy, arms, hands, thighs and buttocks.
How long does the Thermage procedure take?
The Thermage procedure is a completely non-invasive, safe treatment that is performed only in a doctor’s office. Depending on the size and location of the area to be treated, the procedure may take as little as 20 minutes or up to two hours.
Is there any special preparation or follow-up regime?
No. Unlike surgery, there is no pre-procedure preparation, such as blood work or fasting required. With little to no downtime, most patients can return to their regular activities immediately following treatment. There is no special care after treatment. Some patients exhibit a temporary redness or minor swelling after treatment, this usually resolves within 24 hours. Good skin care and sunscreens are recommended as part of your regular skin care regimen. The only signs of treatment are naturally smoother, younger and healthier skin.
How long will the effects of the Thermage procedure last?
The Thermage procedure immediately helps tighten existing collagen and stimulate new natural collagen production for up to six months following the treatment. Results may last for years depending on the patient's skin condition and natural aging process.
Is the Thermage procedure safe?
The Thermage procedure has an excellent safety record. With approximately 450,000 estimated worldwide patient treatments to date, the reported incidence of side effects is less than 0.2 percent. The most frequently reported incidents are classified as swelling, redness, bumps, and blisters on or around the treated area. These side effects have disappeared in a few days or weeks. A rare (<0.04%) but longer lasting side effect described as a surface irregularity has also been reported.
Is Thermage the only radiofrequency technology on the market today?
While there are other skin care technologies that use radiofrequency energy, only Thermage utilizes proprietary capacitive radiofrequency technology to deliver uniform volumetric heating into the dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin to help naturally tighten and contour underlying tissue. Also, Thermage generally achieves results in a single treatment compared to other technologies requiring multiple treatment sessions.

Q. What is Vitiligo?
A. Vitiligo is a skin disorder characterized by white patches that can occur anywhere on the body. No one knows the precise cause of Vitiligo; the condition stems from a lack of normal melanin pigment. Vitiligo occurs when pigment-producing melanocyte cells are destroyed or fail to function properly. Researchers believe malfunctions in the nervous system or the immune system may injure or destroy the melanocytes. Since vitiligo can be inherited, there is also a genetic element to the disease. The condition affects about 1-2% of the population.
Q. How does IPL treat Vitiligo?
A. By delivering intense pulsed light to the affected area, the treatment of Vitiligo is now possible. Rejuvenia uses IPL for the selective repigmentation of the skin. This is done by restoring lost pigment and stimulating the production of melanin in the affected area. This treatment will be completed with a few short sessions.
Q. Is the treatment safe?
A. Yes, it is very safe. Some people may experience mild reddening of the treatment area for a day or so after treatment, but other complications are rare. The Intense Pulsed Light system delivers energy to the skin very gently. Plus, the hand piece extracts heat from the skin during each pulse of light for maximum protection.

Q. How does Matrix RF™ fractional skin resurfacing work?
A. Frequency energy is precisely directed to tiny matrix spots. The RF energy induces a skin injury which is maximized in the region of the matrix spots with an accelerated healing process supported by the tissue surrounding the matrix spots.
Q. Is fractional skin resurfacing right for me?
A. Treatment is a safe and effective solution for most skin types--check with your physician to see if you are a good candidate.
Q. When can I expect to see results?
Q. Does it hurt?
A. Matrix RF treatment is very tolerable. During treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation as energy enters their skin. After treatment a pink or red “sunburn” appearance and feeling is also common. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are used to reduce unpleasant sensations during treatment.
